Acanthus

Nicole Mciver has a background in two-dimensional studio art and art history. Her passion for hand-crafting personal adornment is rooted in her fascination with precious historical objects. She continues to find inspiration in everything from the decorative foliage found in the margins of illuminated manuscripts, to the secret symbolism of Victorian mourning jewelry. Nichole is a self-taught maker and Acanthus is hand-made by her in her home studio in Central Minnesota.

Communion By Joy

Communion - noun. The act of sharing one's thoughts and emotions with another or others; intimate converse

I have been sculpting jewelry for over 10 years. I have always loved art since I was a child. I studied some art history in college and dabbled in painting and drawing. My calling for jewelry design came when I worked at an art gallery and realized that I wanted to be the artist. After working in a gallery, I decided it was time to tap into my own artistic side. I started taking lost-wax carving classes at night and I was hooked! I loved the idea of being able to sculpt anything I wanted.

My inspiration comes from nature and the mystery behind the veil of life. This is a feeling I try to capture with my designs. When I give my attention to the life around me inspiration follows. I love ritual and symbolism. I find my inspiration communing with the spirit in nature, animals and people. I love to make jewelry that carries an energy of inner-strength and contains the power from the design or the stones I set into them.

I keep my creative fire going by connecting to people and their stories.

I feel souls who wear my jewelry have a strong sense of self and portray that in their style. They consist of beings who have a penchant for art, travel and the spirit of life. These souls accentuate their look with conversational pieces of jewelry. The Communion wearer is a lover and collector of jewelry, who connects emotionally to the pieces they buy.

I feel my brand empowers strength with feminine elegance. It is modern vintage with a touch of bohemian flair.

I meditate before creating my designs and allow myself to be used as a creative vessel. All pieces are ethically sourced made from recycled gold, slightly one-of-a-kind and unique.

DEFORREST FINE JEWELRY

DeForrest Fine’s entrancing visual aesthetic is rooted in Rachelle’s lifelong fascination with tarot cards and occult literature. Motifs of astronomy, botany, ancient myths and feminine power appear throughout her collection, filling each piece with magic and mysticism. From her first metalsmithing class at age 19, jewelry-making was part of her world. On a journey to master the craft, she earned countless certifications and got hands-on experience working as a bench jeweler for a major online jewelry retailer. With a distinctly original style and a longing to create something of her own, DeForrest Fine was born.

Lindsey Allen Jewelry

Lindsey grew up in the Pacific Northwest. For as long as she can remember, she’s been tinkering with bits and bobbles to create jewelry. Like many fellow jewelers, beading was the gateway into her refined craft. College led her to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, and eventually New York City, where she had a successful career in the fashion design industry. She always knew jewelry was her true calling, and in 2016 she decided to take the leap and follow her true passions of creating her own line of unique, predominantly one of a kind jewels. Lindsey works primarily in lost wax casting, making each piece lovingly created for the stone that is being showcased. Lindsey hand casts each of her settings to beautifully house nature's hardest and most durable stones—like diamonds and sapphires—among many other precious gems.

Lindsey currently lives and works in Boulder, CO with her husband and two pups. The pandemic brought on the urge to get a little closer to family and the great outdoors. When not working away in her studio, she can be found cooking, snowboarding, fishing, or hiking in the nearby forests she now gets to call home.

maura green jewelry

Maura Green knows that jewelry can be deeply personal, and she creates her pieces "to endure, to transcend, to celebrate, to remember, to protect, to shine." Maura has her inspiration when creating a piece, but the wearer's intention and perspective is what activates the pieces, brings them to life, and makes them meaningful.

A trained bench jeweler, designer, and longtime NYC resident- Maura’s obsession with jewelry and adornment began early. As a very young girl, Maura's father would bring her "antiquing" with him on Sundays- while her dad admired large-scale furniture and art, Maura migrated towards the little sparkly odds.

METal Atelier

Metal Atelier exists to create honest rock and roll jewelry with gritty updates to classic silhouettes inspired by the beauty of aged and patinated materials and the chaos of punk shows.

The jewelry of Metal Atelier explores a perception of beauty that is imperfect and transient- essentially Japanese Wabi Sabi- with a modern punk rock aesthetic. We believe in the beauty that lies below the surface of what appears to be blemished. All of our collections are left slightly rough, showing the imperfections of the hand of the maker and giving each piece its own individual personality.

We believe in the power of objects created through individual handwork and that how something is made is just important as how it looks. Jewelry should have a face and not a factory behind it. All of our collections are studio produced in a cozy studio in the shadow of the former Berlin Wall.

Metal Atelier was founded in its current form in Berlin, Germany in 2018 by Anna Butwell. For eight years, Anna produced jewelry while also maintaining a career in the film industry in New York City. In 2017, she decided to take the leap and focus solely on Metal Atelier. Seeking to change both career and perspective, Anna sold most of her worldly possessions, and moved to Berlin, Germany with all of her tools, a few pairs of snakeskin pumps, and not much else.

Anna quickly found a home for herself and Metal Atelier in Volksluxus, a goldsmith collective and art gallery in the Kreuzberg neighborhood, where all collections are produced.

The Sacred Order

After obtaining her bachelor of arts degree in Drawing and Painting, Wendy began working in the fashion industry as a textile designer and creative team leader. This career offered ample travel opportunities around the globe in search of inspirational objects, places and experiences that could be applied to her work. For Wendy, the highlights of these trips were foreign flea markets where old treasures and rare oddities abound! Peeking into cabinets of mysterious bits of personal histories was thrilling. Each of these objects felt like a small exquisite time capsule, full of sentiment and nostalgia. Her passion for jewelry was ignited and in it she found her preferred medium for personal expression and creativity.

Originally based in the San Francisco Bay Area, The Sacred Order moved north to the greener pastures of Sonoma County in 2019. Wendy continues to draw inspiration from time worn antiques, sacred symbols and the alchemy of nature. She lives with her incredibly talented life-partner, their feisty son, a bearded dragon and a grumpy faced dog.

Vance Davidson Jewelry

If you asked me when I was little what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said jewelry designer. I've always been drawn to it, loving the idea that I can make anything I want. I took my first introduction to silversmithing class at my local art studio and immediately fell in love. I slowly invested into a bench, tools, and stones and began to grow Stone and Oakes. Flash forward to 5 years later, Vance Davidson Jewlery is born, and I am creating pieces I have always dreamed of while continuing to learn and push myself in different ways. This feels like a reflection of who I am as a designer and maker at this point going forward, while honoring my inner child who wanted to BE a jewelry designer when I grew up.

I have an incredible husband and am the mom of two awesome boys, and a sweet dachshund named Ellie. I love music, comedy, food, family, friends, and fun. I'm always down for a good time if I'm not busy hiding in my studio trying to create something beautiful.

Thank you for being here and supporting this dream of mine. It means the world to me.
